    Some great history of motor sports on those covers. Sports Illustrated was never where I went for racing information, more likely Sports Car Illustrated and many others. Good stuff in any case.

    Something tells me this internet thing is here to stay. Which is good and bad. Good because I never would have seen these artful covers otherwise. Bad in that like full-sized album graphics (which Generation X,Y and Z may never get the chance to appreciate) I really want to hold them and see them up close.

    Wow, I never realized there had been that much automotive coverage in SI, guess I should look at more than just the "Swimsuit Issue"!
