    Top Gear USA

I'm sure by now you already know that the American version of Top Gear premieres this Sunday, November 21, at 10/9c. I'm a huge fan of the BBC version and am quite curious to see what the History Channel's American version will feel like.

I guess I may be guilty of being a little too patriotic sometimes, but the constant american car bashing that Jeremy Clarkson does on the british version, won't be missed. I hope this one is less biased.

I know exactly what you're saying. That bugs me too. The camera work and the entertainment is so good that I suppose I overlook it. I don't expect the US version to have bias or prejudice necessarily, but I am very curious to see how the new hosts come across. Tanner Foust obviously knows how to drive which will be great. I'm not sure about the other two because I'm not familiar with them. As long as they deliver enough truth about the cars and have the experience to give the audience fair and educated opinions and tests I think it'll be alright.

Despite the "anti-american" car bashing that sometimes happens, along with the positive for them as well, and the absolute suckage of the Australian one. I have a desire to see it succeed, though the pre-release stuff leaves a lot to be desired. I'll watch with fingers crossed.
Big brother is watching.... so hold my beer.

The wife and I were watching the Brits cheese it up last night (the Limo stuff, SaAlfa Romeoba), and laughed until we cried. I'm hoping they can keep the comedy going strong. Adam Ferrara was on Opie & Anthony earlier this week and was talking about not being mechanically inclined, but, still trying his best to fix things. That should play well. I just hope I can get home from Austin in time to see it (6 hours).

I may have to break down and get television again one of these days. And what is this Fascebook deal?

Once is enough... I doubt I'll see the US version again. Boring. Gary

I'll watch it again for sure. It did drag in parts and had some boring moments, but it was their first episode. I'm sure it'll take them a few episodes to grow into their roles and become whatever they're going to become. I'm very interested to see how it develops over the season.
