If you like doing rust repair, a rusty one should be very cheap.
I live in eastern WA, the desert of the PNW. Rust is almost a non-issue here. I am spoiled!

Hi. I joined this site because of this thread, but I am sure I will enjoy the other threads too. How difficult would it be to go with the automatic transmission in a 71 or 72 1800? I know this sounds backwards, but I have a LS1 with matching automatic transmission, and I will probably buy the first good 71 or 72 1800 that I find. I know you are putting the manual in this one, but is there anything preventing me from using the transmission that I have? By the way, thanks for posting so many nice pictures and steps on here.

I'm really happy you posted this project here. You have huge balls and vision. If only I could find a reasonable option for suspension like this for my 58 Karmann Ghia.

Thanks man... This build will resume, just as soon as my Volvo X build on here is completed for the marketing and abusive testing.. I didnt want to abuse this car, so I chose to take on the Volvo X Amazon build, just incase it ended up in wall or something.. LOL
