Jim Shampine and the rear engine car

Okay, this question is aimed right at the open wheel set on here.

There are a few pages I have found that talk about the rear engine car, but I can only find one picture of it without the body. Does anyone here have a clue what transmission/axle he used in that car? I am working on a collection of models, and that car is coming up.
    Any ideas?

The car used non quick change rear end facing backwards, somekind of slider/inout box off the motor to a driveshaft that went to the rear bumper, there it went to a thick plate with quick change cover an gears from that back to the input of the rear. Also it was a live solid/tublar in the rear,an a axle with kingpins in the front-NO A frames at all.

So in reality it was a Quick change with an exposed lower shaft an exposed upper, the bumper was around the cover an you could change gears without getting under the car.

That is one of my Favorite cars, Jim was a Great guy,we broke down going to local ( for him )dirt track an allowed my team to use his shop to fix our hauler. To me I was in Heaven. RIP Jim

I think the car is rebuilt, check here http://www.gosupers.com/ email the site an they can give info on the car ,there even could be more pics.

Wow! Thanks, that helps. I had forgotten about Pinners Page.
Hmmm, any connection to the ten pin...I wonder.

Funny, we have probably talked in the pits at Oswego and don't even know it.
Heck, I wonder how many other folks on here we have met at one of the tracks and just don't realize/remember.

Yup, that's the one good shot of the frame I could find. The rear/diff is the detail I was looking for. I love that car.
    Thanks guys.
