    I'll play

Only vehicle I ever had that had the biggest engine available for that year is my Camaro that I currently own.

    1983 Z28 - 305 ci.

Everything else I've owned either has had the engine swapped out, or I had the smaller of the two engine options for that particular vehicle.

That's a good start, but I'm assuming that's not the only car you've ever owned...

OK, I'll play. How about a 1969 English Ford Escort. Originally came with a 1600 Kent pushrod motor and we upgraded it to a BDD Twin Cam Alloy block 1800, which was the biggest put in a Mk1 Escort at the time (by Ford anyway)

Guess I should have read the entire first post. Since I've had about 60 cars, and many of them had engines from something else altogether, I guess I'm out. But my first couple of cars did qualify - I had a Sunbeam Alpine with the 1725 (standard motor was either the 1500 or 1592), then a Triumph Spitfire with the 1500 (1147 and 1296 standard) and then a New 71 Pinto with the 2 lirte (1600 was more common and the 2300 didn't come out till 74). Next we go to a 69 Datsun truck, swapped the 1300 for the larger 1600 that came out in the 70 model. followed that with a Sunbeam Tiger - 260 was standard, mine was a 302. This was all before 1975 and I wasn't 20 yet.
from there it was all over the board
