Loss Of A Legend Carroll Shelby RIP

Very sad to hear of the passing of Carroll Shelby. He was a legend in the automotive world. Thankfful he had a fairly long life in spite of his heart problems, & transplant many years ago. I think he did much more in his lifetime than many of us could ever hope to do. I was fortunate to have met Mr. Shelby at an autograph session during a Shelby club convention quite a few years ago. There was a small fee charged to get his autograph & meet the man, but the money was not for him. He donated it all to the American Heart Association. Hundreds of people stood in line forever with photos, & other items to autograph, I remember one guy took the trunk lid off his Shelby & stood in line to get it autographed.
Mr. Shelby you made a big impression in your lifetime, & you will be missed by many. Prayers for all your family & friends... Ralph

I was told he was the longest living recepent of a heart transplant.. He made very good use of the extra time he had with the gift of a donated heart.. So sign those donor cards..

The GT350's and Cobra's will never ever be forgotten, but I honestly have to mention his Chili recipe, which donated to charities, and that amazing little Omni GLH "Goes Like Hell" he made in the '80's!!! Godspeed Mr. Shelby.
