Alright, can anybody besides me see the pictures?
The server on campus is messing with me, and keeps bouncing between secure, and non-secure.
I thought I put in one file path, and something else keeps showing up when I edit.

I can see them fine.
I have a Photobucket Pro account, makes it really easy to load pictures into forums.
Your software, how are you liking it for solid modeling? I have been using Alibre' for some time now, My old man has been a Canvas guy forever but now is really liking SketchUp from Google.
I can take my solid models and render them in Alibre photorender and now they gave us exportability into Keyshot2.
Example of one of my solid models, exported to .jpg and loaded onto Photobucket.

I like Inventor. I can render my parts and assemblies in Inventor Studio and save them as bitmaps or jpgs. I can even play with lighting and background images, which is cool when we do the CO2 dragsters at school. The kids love it when you can put their car on the salt flats or in their driveway.
Nice looking hammer. Have you built that yet?
I'm wondering about mass verses vibration.
If anybody wants to try Inventor, you can download a 30 day trial (13 months with a .edu address) that is only slightly less powerful than the full blown software.

I have some of the body cut out and the bearings are on order. I'm still not sure of the hammer arm, still needs some tweaking.
Looking good, Stevie!
I like the Daytona nose better than the 'vette one, be nice if you could work that one out. Stevie's already pinged me on the HAMB as we're both into the same kind of craziness:
345 hp SBF and T5Z tranny into a '63 Austin-Healey 3000.
Here's my build thread: http://forum.britishv8.org/read.php?13,8264
Alright, I figured out the problem...jpg vs JPG makes all the difference in the world.
So, after a month in the classroom, I finally had a spare minute to head back to the shop. My Buddy bill and I attacked the frame again looking for what was holding the body down. There was the obvious bolt rusted into the crush tube. That came out after soaking in Blaster PB for a month. Then we started poking around under the sound deadening and found two more bolts. YIPPEE!! We set the back up on my adjustable deadman, then used the cherry picker to lift the front up. We put a sawhorse on either side at the front suspension, then laid a couple of pieces of pipe across them. Now I can set the engine back in and see where I need to trim and reinforce the frame. It should be a whole lot easier to weld without the body in the way.
Pictures to follow.

Alright, as promised...pictures.
Not much to start with.
This rear is supposed to be good up to 200 HP, but the Roto-Flex joints need replacing, so I am looking for a decent price on a Mustang or Explorer IRS to take it's place. I might as well do it right while I have it this far apart.
The pie cut isn't real noticeable, but you can see the dip I created in the front crossmember to clear the front sump on the double sump pan.
Next step is to pressure wash it, then blast it, then cut new metal to patch all the cuts we had to make to fit the SBF/T5.

Looks like Saturdays and Sundays are going to be my build days for now.
Last week we got the frame up on its side and pressure washed it.
The pressure washer cut through all the grease and grime. Next step is to media blast this puppy and see what we have to work with.
Black Diamond cut through the paint and rust in short order, so now we have nice clean steel to weld to.
The frame is ~16ga
So I am thinking, could I just weld a piece of 1/8" x 3" strap to the outside of this cut, (maybe a 1/8"x1" to the inside) then fabricate a nice clean patch for the starter clearance? Any thoughts on this from Steve or Alex?
